The job of the referee is pretty simple, or is it? They are meant to give instructions to the fighters and ensure the fight is fair at all times without putting themselves in harm's way. But, the job of a referee is to literally put themselves in harm's way as they have to most times separate fighters. And oftentimes, it is the one who separates a fight that is sometimes met with a "stray bullet" or in this case, a stray blow.
