Sequels are a Hollywood tradition that go back at least a hundred years, but it still seems like there are more part twos (and threes, and fours) every year, and many are for things you'd never imagine needed a sequel, or a prequel. But in a culture where movie franchises are king, there are hardly any stories that aren't milked for every scrap of possible entertainment, for better or worse.
