The idea of crossovers seems to be very exciting. Avid readers of comic books have always enjoyed concepts like the Avengers and Justice League, where superheroes from various storylines come together. They also enjoy the crossovers between two different franchises, such as Batman vs Predator. In fact, even Disney Channel has enjoyed making crossovers with storylines such as Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana. So, we are not stretching our imagination, to think about Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise and Pinhead from Hellraiser sharing the same screen as the two duel each other.
This crossover was something Dimension Films had considered until it was scrapped due to several reasons such as the belief that it would bomb or the producers were not being very fond of the idea. However, writer Dave Parker had already laid out a potential plot for it and few fans anticipated what could’ve been.
With Halloween being a franchise that is not afraid to reboot its storyline, it would not have been a problem to introduce another origin story for Michael Myers by adding a demonic twist to it in the form of Pinhead. In this video, we will talk about how the two storylines could’ve blended into each other and why the idea did not take flight.
